Sacred Heart Athletic Ministry

Sacred Heart Athletics is a division of the Youth Ministry within the Catholic Community of Jeffersonville. This ministry is available to our parish youth and students at Sacred Heart Catholic School. We recognize that sports can play a vital role in our children’s development, and our programs strive to provide opportunities for individual, physical, social, and spiritual growth. In addition, the involvement of parents and volunteers through sports helps strengthen our community and create opportunities for our children.

The Athletic Committee serves the youth of our parish and helps them grow and develop to their full potential as Catholic Christians, teammates, leaders and athletes. Ten volunteers administer and oversee all year-round athletic programs for third through eighth graders provided by Sacred Heart Catholic School and open to parishioners of St. Augustine and Sacred Heart Parish. Additionally, approximately eight additional volunteers serve as coaches.

In 2026-2027, the Athletic Committee is looking to fill the following committee positions:

 Basketball Coordinator

 Concessions Coordinator

 Track Coordinator

 Soccer Coordinator

 Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator

 Facility/Gym Coordinator

Whether you have experience in athletics, event planning, fundraising, facilities management, or simply a desire to support our students, we encourage you to get involved. Serving on the Athletic Committee is a rewarding way to make a meaningful impact on our school community.
